Insecurity: Egbe Mayegun, Ago-Iwoye, donates working tools to security outfits

An age group association, Egbe Mayegun, Ago-Iwoye, on Monday, June 28, donated several cartons of torch lights to local security outfits in Ago-Iwoye to enhance their capacity to provide security services within the community.

Receiving the torch lights at the Ebumawe’s Palace on behalf of the local security outfits in Ago-Iwoye, the Head of So-Safe Corps in the town, Commander Alatise, thanked Egbe Mayegun for the donation, while promising that the torch lights will be put to good use in the fight against Insecurity, especially during night patrol within Ago-Iwoye community.

Alatise appealed to other well meaning associations and individuals to emulate Egbe Mayegun by supporting the local security outfits in Ago-Iwoye with donation of other materials that are needed to carry out their services, while assuring that all the local security outfits operating in the town are poised to tackle insecurity in collaboration with sister security agencies.

He thanked the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, who facilitated the donation through his request to several associations and individuals to come to the aid of the local security outfits.

The Iyalode Egbe Mayegun, who represented Giwa Egbe Mayegun, Ramon Odunsi, during the presentation said the donation was in response to the request of Oba Adenugba to support the local security outfits, adding that Egbe Mayegun will continue to support every effort aimed at providing security for the town.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Oba Adesina Adenugba had at a meeting with security agencies in his Palace few weeks ago, appealed to all indigenes of Ago-Iwoye for support in the fight against insecurity.
