The Deputy Minority Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya (Attacker), has felicitated the Secretary to Ogun State Government (SSG), Tokunbo Talabi, on his 60th birthday anniversary.

Rt. Hon. Adekoya, representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, said Talabi is a distinguished personality who stands out in his public and private life, noting that the midas touch he has brought to governance in Ogun State cannot but be noticed by all, including people on the other side of the political divide.

Adekoya said, “As a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state, and especially being a Principal Officer of the current 9th National Assembly, I have to push partisan interest and concern aside to celebrate and honour you with my best wishes because in truth and in reality, your performances in office and personage deserve nothing short of such felicitations.

“It is therefore my pleasure to join millions of our people in Ogun state and beyond, your political associates, members of the business community, the wonderful people of Ijebu-North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, and indeed my immediate family, to wish you more of God’s undying grace, favour, and compassion all to make you see 70, 80, and beyond in good health, comfort, peace of mind and happiness”.

Adekoya also commended Tokunbo Talabi for always demonstrating the “Omoluwabi” culture, which Yorubas are known for, in all his interpersonal relationships with everyone who has come in contact with him, adding that, “to have turned 60 and still looking 40, is nothing but an exceeding grace of God.

He prayed Almighty God to shower His benevolence and compassion on Talabi, “as the enviable heights he attained at 60 are unparalleled”.
