The ancient town of Ago-Iwoye, on Saturday, played host to dignitaries from all walks of life who came to witness the wedding ceremony between Alhaji Yesiru Yisau’s daughter, Khadijat Yisau and Idris Olajide.
The wedding ceremony, which was conducted by Islamic scholars from Ago-Iwoye and beyond, took place at the residence of Alhaji Yesiru Yisau (a.k.a YY).
In his sermon at the occasion, the Chief Imam of Ago-Iwoye, Alhaji Shittu, urged the new couple to be tolerant of each other and be prayerful at all times.
He advised the young couple to always seek the face of God whenever they have marital challenges, and avoid allowing third party into their marital affairs.
There was the recitation of the holy Quran, after which the bride and groom were joined together as husband and wife.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, congratulated the new couple and their parents for the success of the event.
Oba Adenugba advised the couple to make trust the foundation of their union, and settle whatever differences that may come their way among themselves without the interference of third party.
