The Ago-Iwoye division of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), was on Tuesday inaugurated, while new Executive members were inducted.
The occasion also witnessed the foundation laying of PCRC hall in the town.
The PCRC Chairman in Ijebuland, Otunba Fatai Agbolade, while speaking at the occasion, congratulated the new Executive members on their induction, and charged them to demonstrate high level of integrity and commitment to the association.
Otunba Agbolade said the newly inducted Executive members were expected to live above board and complement the efforts of Nigeria Police Force in fighting crimes.
The PCRC Chairman, who led his members on Appreciation visit to the Ebumawe’s palace, thanked the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, who is the Royal Patron of PCRC in Ijebuland, for his philantropic gestures and distinctive leadership qualities he has been extending to the association.
Oba Adesina Adenugba, while receiving the PCRC members in his palace, commended the leadership of Otunba Fatai Agbolade, for being focused and contributing to the attainment of safe environment in Ijebuland.
The monarch, who assured of his continuous support, urged the PCRC not to rest on its oars, as there is a lot more to be done in achieving zero tolerance for crimes in Ijebuland.
Oba Adenugba advised the leadership of PCRC to continue to collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force in order to rid Ijebuland of criminal elements.
