Three boys Wariz Oladehinde, (17 years), Abdul Gafar Lukman (19) and Mustakeem Balogun (20) have been arrested by the police in Ogun State for beheading and burning the head of the girlfriend of one of them for money ritual in the Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta, Ogun State .
The Police confirmed that “They killed Rofiat, cut off her head, packed the headless body in a sack and started burning the head in a pot. They told the police in the presence of a mammoth crowd that they wanted to use it for money ritual.”
The victim Rofiat, resided at Idi-Ape; Abeokuta and was a girlfriend to one Soliu, one of the suspects .
One of the suspects , Mustakeem Balogun, said: “We wanted to use just her head alone for money ritual. Soliu strangled her and he told me to assist him and we cut off her head.”
They were caught when a community security guard, Segun Adewusi, raised the alarm when observed the boys burning something that looked like a human head in a pot .
The Adatan Police Station was contacted and the boys were arrested .
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the Police recovered Cutlass and knife used by the suspects to perpetrate the heinous crime.
He said the headless body of the girl has been recovered and evacuated after the suspects led policemen to the building, where the crime was committed.
