A retired top military officer and businessman, Major General (Dr) S.A Awosanya, has given his step-mother, Madam Adebisi Awosanya a befitting burial, Great Achiever Magazine reports.

The burial ceremony was held on Friday, 30th December, 2022, at Imososi Primary School Playground, Ago-Iwoye.

Madam Adebisi Awosanya died at a ripe age of 100 years and survived by many children and grand children.

Speaking with Great Achiever Magazine on the death of his step-mother, Maj. Gen. S.A Awosanya said the death of Madam Adebisi Awosanya was a big loss to the family, adding that the family took solace in the fact that Mama lived a life worthy of emulation.

Gen. Awosanya, while going memory lane said as a young boy, he was very fond of Madam Awosanya, who he always followed on evangelism of Jehovah’s Witness to Onibembe village and other places.

General Awosanya recalled how Mama showed love and treated her biological children and step-children equally while growing up without discrimination.

He said he would always remember Mama as a loving mother who took very good care of her children and was a rallying point in the family.

He prayed for Mama’s eternal rest and protection of the children he left behind.

The first son of Madam Adebisi Awosanya, Mr Tajudeen Awosanya, who is based in the United States of America, said the death of her mother has created a big vacuum that will be difficult to fill in the family.

He said the positive impact of his mother on his life and his siblings will forever remain indelible, while thanking God for the good life lived by his late mother.

Tajudeen commended his elder brother, Maj. Gen. S. A Awosanya for the great roles he has been playing in the family, and showing good leadership which culminated in the love that exists in the family.

He also thanked Gen. Awosanya for holding forth during the demise of his mother through to the burial ceremony.
