Great Achiever Magazine is set to honour some notable sons and daughters of Ago-Iwoye with Excellence Awards.

According to a press release signed by the Publisher of Great Achiever Magazine, Yomi Ogunsanu, the event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 18th January, 2025, at Ago-Iwoye City Hall, at 12noon.

The distinguished personalities to be honoured are: Alhaji Mustapha Sola Bello, Giwa (Tpl) Wale Taiwo, Akorede Abdul-Lateef Odusanya, Otun Giwa Tajudeen Beckley Oyebanjo, Hon. Mrs. Fausat Juliet Paul, Omooba (Cmrd) Dr. Tosin Adeyemi, Asogbon Lebi Odunayo (a.k.a My Choice), Ayo Awobona, Kayode Adewale and Heritage Brothers Club.

Ogunsanu said the Awardees are being honoured for their achievements and outstanding contributions to the development of Ago-Iwoye, and humanity at large.

He noted that the Awardees have taken headlong the challenge of community development, and have vowed not to look back, adding that a peep into their background and antecedents in community service reveal their selfless commitment to a better society.

The Publisher confirmed that at their levels, they have made significant impacts in the overall development of their immediate community and society at large, hence they deserve to be honoured and celebrated so that they will serve as source of motivation to their peers and younger ones, as well as being encouraged to continue to do more.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that some of the Very Important Personalities expected at the elaborate ceremony include: HRH Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, who is the Royal Father of the Day.

Others are Maj. Gen. (Dr.) S.A Awosanya, Baba Oba of Ago-Iwoye and Founder, Aletheia University Ago-Iwoye, who is the Chairman of the occasion, while Alhaja Medinat Kazeem, the Iya Adinni of Ago-Iwoye is the Mother of the Day.

The Special Guests of Honour expected at the event include: Comptroller Yekeen Ajibola Odusanya, Oluomo (Dr) Femi Bakre, Aare (Dr.) Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem, Prince (Dr) Feyisayo Soyewo MFR, Rt. Hon. Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya, Olori Modupe Shotobi, Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi, and a host of other guests.
