Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged as the President of the 10th Senate.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that in a tension soaked election, Senator Akpabio scored 63 votes to defeat his opponent, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who scored 46 votes.

Senator Godswill Akpabio is a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, while Senator Abdulaziz Yari is a former governor of Zamfara State.
