The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Prince Akin Onalaja as the Chairman of Ogun State chapter of Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Prince Onalaja was inaugurated along with other EXCO members of the Assembly at a ceremony held on Tuesday, 1st November, 2022, at Park Inn, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The ceremony had in attendance PDP chieftains and supporters across Southwest.

In his address, the Chairman, Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly, Senator Kolawole Ogunwale, said the group was put in place to campaign for the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar across Southwest.

He therefore appealed to all Nigerians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria’s president in the 2023 election, while assuring that PDP administration under the leadership of Atiku Abubakar will bring back the lost glory of Nigeria if elected.

Ogunwale enjoined the newly inaugurated EXCO of Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly, Ogun State chapter, to commence immediate campaign for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in all the nooks and crannies of Ogun State to ensure victory for PDP in next year’s election.

In his remarks at the occasion, the Chairman of PDP in Ogun State, Alhaji Sikirulai Ogundele, commended the Chairman of Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly, Senator Ogunwale for his commitment to the success of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the coming election.

Ogundele urged PDP members to intensify their campaigns for the success of PDP in 2023 election, noting that the APC is already campaigning for PDP through its failure in governance since it took over in 2015.

Highlights of the occasion was the investiture of the PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adebutu as the Grand Patron of Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly.

Speaking with Great Achiever Magazine, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Ogun State chapter of Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly, Prince Akin Onalaja, who hails from Ago-Iwoye in Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State, thanked God for being recognized for the appointment.

He promised to discharge his responsibilities diligently to ensure that Atiku Abubakar is elected as Nigeria’s next president, while Hon. Ladi Adebutu emerges the next Ogun State governor in 2023.
