Rt. Rev. Adegbite presenting a Bible to Oba Adesina Adenugba
The new Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Ijebu Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Solomon Abayomi Adegbite, on Friday, 3rd December, 2021, paid a courtesy visit to the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, at his palace, reports Great Achiever Magazine.
Rt. Rev. Adegbite said his visit to the royal father was to appreciate him for his unflinching support for Methodist Church.
The man of God said he had been briefed about the passion of Oba Adenugba for Methodist Church, as he was aware that the monarch, despite being a Muslim, always have his annual harvest thanksgiving in the Church on every 1st Sunday in December.
Adegbite said he decided to visit the royal father as a mark of honour before this year’s harvest thanksgiving which will hold on Sunday, 5th December, 2021.
In his remarks, Oba Adenugba disclosed that he was brought up by a strong Minister of Methodist Church, Rev. Moses Dada, who inculcated very strong discipline in him, adding that his education from primary to secondary level was through Methodist.
The monarch said he was a member of the Choir at Oke-Ita Methodist Church, Ago-Iwoye, during his school days.
Oba Adenugba therefore assured of his continued support for the Church, while he prayed for a successful tenure for Rt. Rev. Adegbite, who was transferred from Diocese of Owo.
