The hospital, which its construction was facilitated by Ago-Iwoye Central Development Council (ACDC) through communal efforts, remained non functional for a long time due to lack of funds to complete the various buildings that were at various stages of completion.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the various buildings under construction were partly donated by some prominent indigenes and non indigenes of the town, while ACDC outrightly embarked on construction of others through funds raised during the annual Ago-Iwoye Day Celebration and other sundry sources.

However, in a bid to kick start operations with the few completed buildings in the hospital premises, the present administration in ACDC led by Mr. Oluwatosin Daniel, organised a medical camp in October, 2020, where free surgeries were performed on several patients.

The medical camp was financed through voluntary donations from indigenes of the town, and this made the hospital to come alive.

After the medical camp, arrangements were made to commence daily operations with the little available resources at the disposal of ACDC, while an outpatient department was put in place to offer medical services to patients.

At present, the hospital has a qualified Medical Consultant on standby to attend to patients with the available medical equipment.

Meanwhile, the hospital has appealed to well meaning indigenes and non indigenes of the town, as well as government to come to its aid by donating equipment and more buildings to enable the hospital expand its scope of operation.

Great Achiever Magazine recalls that the hospital project was started by  Otunba Yomi Bada led  administration of ACDC, while the late Oba Lateef Adewale laid the foundation of the perimeter fence for the hospital project.

Subsequently, other successive administrations in charge of ACDC also contributed to the construction of the hospital through funds raised during the annual Ago-Iwoye Day Celebration.
