Ewekoro Council Chairman lays foundation of classrooms block, assures of prioritising education

Hon. Babayemi laying the foundation of classrooms block 

The Chairman, Transition Committee, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Emmanuel Olumuyiwa Babayemi, has laid the foundation of a block of three classrooms with toilet facilities and borehole at the African Church Nursery & Primary School, Ajipatutu, in the council area.

Hon. Babayemi, during the ceremony, charged all the parents living in the council area to  always devote time and resources towards the moral and educational upbringing of their children, while he assured of prioritising education.

The council boss emphasized the importance of education as a necessary tool, not only for the future well being of the children, but the growth, development and progress of the  society at large.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Hon. Babayemi also used the occasion to enumerate various ongoing projects, being embarked upon by his administration, which include borehole at Arigbajo, electricity at Itori and Olorunsogo among others, adding that the development was the beginning of a new era in local government administration, as all members of the Transition Committee along with him were poised to provide basic needs to the people.

He, therefore, urged well meaning individuals within and outside the council area to always support his administration for even distribution of dividends of democracy.

In his remarks at the occasion, the Honourable Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Ganiyu Hamzat, described the projects as part of the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.

He praised the state and local governments for resuscitating good governance at the local government level, thereby bringing development to the rural areas.

Some of the important dignitaries that graced the occasion were: APC Senatorial Chairman and Member of Governor’s Advisory Council, Chief Fohun Abiola, Hon. Gbolabo Famuyiwa, Hon. Israel Jolaosho, former member of Ogun State House of Assemby, Hon Sunday Akinyemi, former Local Government Chairman, Hon Abiodun Adeleye, APC Chairman at Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Omilani, Alhaji Naheem Adebowale, Vice Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Secretary to the Local Government and members of the transition committee.

Others were the Head of  Local Government Administration, Mr B.A. Owolabi, Directors and Heads of Departments, Ewekoro Local Government.
