Police in Delta State have shot dead three suspected armed robbers, while their leader, a 29 year old lady, Amarachi Godwin was arrested.
The action of the police was facilitated by the outcry of the neighborhood, but in an attempt to escape, the criminal engaged the policemen in gunfire which resulted in killing of three of the suspected robbers.
Among the items recovered from the criminals were: a Toyota car, 4 AK 47 riffles and the sum of N645, 000, said the Commissioner of Police, John Amadi.
According to report, Amarachi Godwin, the female suspect, stated that, “it’s the devil’s handwork, I have been in 6 operations and I made 3 million naira, but due to financial challenges, and which nobody was ready to help me, I had no option than to engage myself in this act. If I’m given a second chance, I promise to change for good”.
