Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, is set to honour Major General S.A Awosanya (rtd), with the degree of D.Litt (Honoris Causa) at the University’s 28th and 29th convocation ceremony slated for Friday, 31st January, 2020.
In a letter signed by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ganiyu Olatunde, the decision to honour Maj. Gen. Awosanya, was arrived at by the University Senate and the Governing Council after taking into consideration, his glorious career as a distinguished Senior Military Officer, Finance guru, Teacher, Astute Businessman and foremost Philanthropist.
The Vice Chancellor said that the university was very proud of Maj. Gen. Awosanya’s sterling qualities and contributions to the growth of the university.
Prof. Olatunde therefore congratulated Maj. Gen. Awosanya, who is the Baba Oba of Ago-Iwoye, and other members of his family on the noble achievement.
