More
often than not, couples only search for reasons behind failed relationships
after a break-up. Knowing these tell-tale signs could help you be aware of your
relationship and possibly avoid a break-up.
Your
relationship is stagnant
Years have gone by and still you
don’t feel like you’re going nowhere. All relationships have the potential of
moving forward. It could be having a baby, moving in together, or marriage.
This is to ensure that you explore other aspects of your relationship that you
never experienced before. If you’re not in any way moving up after years of
being a couple, chances are one of you might decide to call it quit.
Lack
of communication
Remember the days when you couldn’t
go the whole day without talking? Now if you’re lucky you talk once or twice a
week.
The problem isn’t that you don’t have anything to talk about, you just
don’t want to.
You
bottle up your problems
Instead of tackling problems as they
arise, you sweep them under the carpet and pretend everything is perfect.
You’d
rather pretend that you’re in a good place, but your investment in the partnership
is very little.
You’re
at your happiest when separate
Half of the time when you’re
together you can hardly crack a joke, laugh or even smile. However, it’s the
total opposite when you’re away from one another.
Relationships aren’t supposed
to consume one’s happiness and if this is what you’re feeling then it’s time to
accept there’s nothing left for you two.
Lack
of excitement for each other’s accomplishments
In most cases when you achieve
something the first person you want to share the exciting news with is usually
your partner, because really you should be each other’s biggest supporters.
But, in your case it’s the total opposite.

Listen
to your instinct

There’s
only so much advice that your friends can give you, in the end it’s all up to
you. Your instinct will tell you when it’s time to let go.
