The Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will honour Dr Toyin Taiwo, the Chief of Staff to Ogun State Governor, with Pillar of Good Governance Award, on Thursday, 27th March, 2025, at the Aremo Olusegun Osoba Hall, NUJ Secretariat, Iwe-Iroyin, Abeokuta.
According to a press release signed by the Council’s Chairman and Secretary, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and Comrade Bunmi Adigun respectively, the conferment of the Award is in appreciation of Dr Taiwo’s leadership and unwavering support for transparency, accountability, and excellence in governance.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that the Council emphasized that Dr. Toyin Taiwo’s contributions have significantly impacted the development of Ogun State, and it is paramount to acknowledge the positive changes that have resulted from his involvement in the current administration in Ogun State.
Comrade Adigun disclosed that members of the press and the community are invited to engage in discussions about critical issues affecting the Union and the State at the Award ceremony which coincides with the monthly Congress of Ogun NUJ.
