The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over its improved performance on the Governorship and House of Assembly elections held on Saturday.
Governor Amosun and wife on the queue to vote
Amosun gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen shortly after he voted at his polling unit in Abeokuta.
He said the election was peaceful and voters’ turn out was very impressive, while the presence of security operatives was noticed everywhere.
He urged INEC to be transparent in the counting of votes and collation of results.
