The election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the governor of Ogun State on Saturday, 9th March, 2019,has been affirmed by the governorship election petition tribunal, sitting in Abeokuta.
In a judgement delivered on Saturday in Abeokuta, the tribunal held that the petitioner, Hon. Adekunle Akinla of Allied People’s Movement (APM), failed to prove his case against the respondent, Prince Dapo Abiodun of All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the case lacked merit.
Therefore, the petition was dismissed.
