Gunmen suspected to be political thugs have attacked the country home of the Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Okoro-Emegha, killing his younger brother.
The incident took place late Monday with the Ebonyi Police Command Spokesman, Chris Anyanwu, confirming the development to Channels Television on Tuesday.
The gun-wielding youths invaded the APC chieftain’s home at Ekoli Edda in the Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state some minutes past ten on Monday.
Anyanwu, who did not give details, further disclosed that the command had commenced an investigation to unravel the immediate and remote circumstances that led to such a heinous crime.
