Members of Federated Chapel
The Federated Chapel of Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has taken a giant step which led to the amicable resolution of the internal crises rocking the chapel for over three years.
At a meeting held on Thursday, 17th August, 2023, inside Ogun NUJ hall in Abeokuta, the two factions of the chapel unanimously agreed to put aside their differences and work together for a united Federated Chapel.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that the reconciliation meeting, which was convened by Sina Oduntan, discussed extensively on contending issues that brought about division in the chapel and thereafter, members, after various contributions to the issues in dispute, resolved to allow peace to reign in order to put the chapel on a sound footing.
In view of the resolution of the crises, and with the affirmation of members’ readiness for election, it was agreed that preparations should begin in earnest towards conducting election that will usher in a new Executive Council that will pilot the affairs of the chapel.
Consequently, a 4-member committee was put in place to interface with the leadership of Ogun NUJ in order to have a seamless election as soon as possible.
