Senator Douye Diri has been declared winner of the Bayelsa State gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 11th November, 2023.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Senator Diri, the candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was declared winner for a second term by INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof Faruk Kuta after scoring 175,196 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva who scored 110,108 votes.

The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Udengs Eradiri scored 905 votes.
