The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), is set to train over 8,000 youths and women across the 774 Local Government Areas of the country.
The Director General of NDE, Silas Agara said this in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital when he led the Management team of the Directorate on a courtesy visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at Government House.
Agara explained that the meeting was deliberate, taking into account that Governor Sule is a trained Engineer and has passion for technical and vocational skills acquisition.
The NDE Director General noted that the Directorate under the Tinubu administration is poised to train 10 youths and women from each Ward across the 774 LGAs of the country in 30 different skills, to become self employed.
Congratulating the new DG of the NDE on what he described as a well deserved appointment by President Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed the believe that with the wealth of experience of Silas Agara, the NDE would be transformed positively.
The Governor said he is open to synergize and collaboration with the National Directorate for Employment on initiatives targeted directly at improving lives of his people through skills acquisition for employment gains.
