President Bola Tinubu
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), has ended its Second Plenary meeting in Auchi, Edo State, taking a swipe at economic policies of the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu which they say “seem to be in favour of those in the corridors of power and their cronies in the business sector”.
The Bishops, in describing the state of the nation, said citizens continue to suffer hunger and dehumanising poverty.
They said it is not practicable that under such condition, government officials keep calling for patience and sacrifice, “while those in power live an affluent lifestyle, with no visible effort at reducing the cost of governance”.
